Introduction

The American Distilled Spirits Alliance (ADSA) and its predecessor organization, The Presidents Forum of the Distilled Spirits Industry (TPF), has advocated on behalf of adult beverage alcohol for over forty years. During that time, ADSA has worked on a range of public policy issues important to the Alliance such as ingredients, distillation, aging, barreling, carriage, labeling, sales, marketing, distribution and taxation.

The Alliance supports responsible federal, state and local policies toward alcohol that underpin the moderate consumption of alcoholic beverages and the continued implementation of common-sense policies toward legislation, regulation and taxation of members’ products.

Members of the Alliance are committed to doing business in a responsible manner and, thus, has developed a Statement of Responsible Practices, as a non-binding guide of principles of accountability for its members.
